Thank you to a new collector and to North Light Gallery for this sale. This one was a true test of plein air painting! Painted it under the shelter of the hatch door of my wagon as it was spitting rain. A fully loaded logging truck came barreling a bit too fast around a muddy curve on the Golden Road tipping to the side and struggling to stay upright. The driver righted the load not too far from me. I was ready to jump into the ditch and quite shaken up. That was a close one! One of my favorite paintings of a tranquil scene, with a little excitement.
