Sold to a collector in California, on it's way to a new home! Painted on location at Pemaquid Point.

Blacks Harbor 1

Yesterday's painting at Blacks Harbor, it was a beautiful day in New Brunswick, but I had to paint in my car because of the winds at about 30 mph with gusts over 40 mph. Took over 150 photos and could barely stand in the strong winds on the Bay of Fundy. I was painting at Blacks Harbor at the Grand Manan ferry terminal  decided not to go out to the island with the wind! A 6 x 18, kind of awkward in the car! Only got a little blue paint on the steering wheel (easel.)

Alma Beach 1 and Waterside Beach 1

This morning was very cold and gray, but I decided to take a chance and painted at the end of the dock in Alma. Very windy, and about 6 Celsius, needed 4 layers to keep warm! The Bay of Fundy color was incredible, an aqua pink. The fall lobster season starts in seven days, so there was a lot of activity getting the boats ready, a super busy small harbor. Then I had lunch and moved on to Waterside Beach, between Alma and Cape Enrage, where I decided to paint the view of the tidal marsh and the beach. Perfect timing for low tide. This is looking toward Cape Enrage. It was still chilly and windy, but the sun soon was shining and it warmed up to 13 C. I think that this is my new favorite place! Lots of photos for future paintings in the studio...

Fundy Trail 1 and Gardner Creek NB 15

Had a wonderful day painting in New Brunswick today, first at the beach at Gardner Creek, then took a walk at Duck Pond Beach and took lots of photos. It was a perfect day for painting! Ate my lunch at The Caves in St. Martins and did some exploring on the Fundy Trail. I found a spot to paint with a fabulous view of Melvin Beach and Pangburn Beach. It got a little chilly and the sky was gray as I finished it was 15 C. at about 5:30 AT.

Golden Road Marsh 8

After a very gray and foggy morning yesterday, the sun came out on and I went to paint on the Golden Road. A 70 degree day in October in the North Woods! I love this spot and the light was perfect. Then I took a drive into Baxter Park to Daicey Pond. I love the golden yellow light on the park roads at this time of year. Stopped at Stump Pond on the way out to see the very large moose! Sold "Katahdin Lake 09-02" and "Katahdin 15" North Light Gallery, Millinocket, Maine

Thank you North Light Gallery and two new collectors! I love to paint the sunlight filtering through the trees on the beach at Katahdin Lake. Painted this one at Katahdin Lake at the end of September in 2009 with some good fall color and a clear view of Mt. Katahdin.
