One More Week: New Brunswick Panorama, Saint John Arts Centre

One more week for my solo show at the Saint John Arts Centre in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. SJAC is a wonderful venue with a fabulous Director, Staff and Volunteers! I have so enjoyed painting and exploring New Brunswick since 2010 and creating the 59 paintings in the show! Here is a video of the show on opening night in July, through September 6, 2013.

SOLD Drawing Group 1 and 2, Saccarappa Art Collective, Westbrook, Maine

Thank you Saccarappa Art Collective and to a new collector! Two small acrylic paintings done at an informal life drawing group, it is certainly a challenge to do a painting during a short pose of the model. To me working from life in both drawing and painting is at the core of my all my work. These small studies really help me with my drawing skills in my plein air landscape paintings.

MPBN Maine Calling, on the radio and Golden Road Marsh 12

Today I had the opportunity to be on The Maine Public Broadcasting Network radio call in show hosted by Jennifer Rooks with Marsha Donahue ( , Barbara Ernst Pray ( and Andres Verzosa ( discussing the business of art in Maine. We certainly just barely touched the tip of the iceberg on this topic, especially the economic impact of the arts in Maine. After the show I thought about my own economic impact as an artist just yesterday and today: had my work shot by Jay York Photography, bought supplies at Artists & Craftsmen, picked up framing from Art House Picture Frames, and had dinner at the Frog & Turtle before hanging my work at Saccarappa Art Collective for our new show opening on Friday. Purchasing a painting, photo, jewelry, pot or sculpture from a Maine artist directly supports their work and the work of so many others. Please consider supporting the arts in Maine with a purchase of someth…
