Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens- "Great Lawn 1"

Painted at the "Plein Air Painting at the Gardens Summer 2010" event today in Boothbay.  Beautiful day!  Low eighties with a breeze...talked with lots of garden and art enthusiasts.  Painted a fairly large canvas 12 x 30 started at 2 pm and finished at 5:15.  There will be a show and sale at CMBG of works painted by the many artists at the gardens from July 18-25 with 30% of sales going to benefit the gardens, a reception will be held on July 19 from 5-7 pm.  An old friend from Portland School of Art, Richard Abbott, was showing and selling his beautiful cast cement garden sculptures at the garden today as well, his website is http://homeandgardenornament.com/
