May Marathon Day 7

Painted this 5 x 5 in the studio today from a fall 2006 photo of Back Cove in Portland, one of my favorite painting subjects.  Went to the opening reception at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell tonight, my husband Fred had one of his photos accepted in the juried show.  You can view his amazing art on Flickr at Horticultural Art.  One of my professors from Portland School of Art, Jon Lorence won a award for a stunning 2009 black and white piece, it was great to chat with him.  Day 7 of the May Marathon 15 paintings done in 7 days...need chocolate...
