30 Paintings in 30 Days 7/30 and 8/30 Maynard's Marsh Daicey Pond, Baxter Park, Maine

Painted in Baxter Park with my friend Suzanne Savage Brewer today, we met up at Big Moose Inn at 7:30 am, it was super windy. We decided to go into Baxter to try to find a sheltered spot to paint. We picked Maynard's Marsh near Daicey Pond...a low cloud cloud hung over the mountain all day, 47 degrees, rained lightly on and off. It was quite a challenge to paint this scene! My large canvas blew off the easel 3 times. We both noticed after a couple of hours that we were freezing cold, I was shivering most of the time. We were there all day, I did two paintings.
